CPOs from leading companies came together last week in the unique setting of our CPO Roundtable. We asked them about their current priorities and challenges and how they imagine the future of supply management. CPOs told us they are primarily focused on digitization and technology, risk management, transforming and reinventing their organizations, and talent management. We heard the early adopters share their use of blockchain, robotics, advanced analytics, and many other interesting topics that will shape our future.
The things we learn first-hand from supply management leaders translate into leading-edge research, key benchmarking metrics, and game-changing events, helping you to advance your practice. How can CAPS help you reach your goals?
Quick fact: Exploring Strategic Category Management
CAPS Benchmarking dove into understanding the ins and outs of strategic category management among companies in our most recent Snapshots survey. One interesting insight gained was out of the 85 companies that responded, 65% reported that category managers remain in their area of expertise, while 35% reported having their category managers rotate to other spend categories to gain broader experience. Of those who rotate category managers, 59% reported the rotation lasting 3-5 years. |
