CAPS News - July 2019
The theme for CAPS roundtables this year has been "Creating Value in Turbulent Times" because we anticipated rapid shifts in the global landscape, yet expectations to return value to our organizations remain unchanged. It's only fitting that the topic of our brand new whitepaper, “China: Reassessing the Middle Kingdom in Global Supply Management” (in the CAPS Library for members now), discusses how to effectively do business with China. It's getting a lot of attention, so check it out now.
Speaking of the library, we recently launched a brand new CAPS Library. Even if you had an account with us before, you'll need to create a new one. Anyone can create a free account for access to more than 30 years of CAPS Research thought leadership.
CAPS Research is excited to introduce the newly formed Harold E. Fearon Fellows Committee, comprised of distinguished professors from the Supply Chain Management Department at Arizona State University. This new committee will be instrumental in the research process, bringing new and relevant reports to our members. The Hal Fearon Committee will work closely with the CAPS Research team producing reports on topics selected by and voted on by our members. We welcome the new committee to CAPS Research and look forward to working with the Fellows! |

Quick fact: Contracting Processes & Policies
For pre-award activity, 86% of companies say they have formal, well-documented procedures on purchasing processes and policies to better instruct buyers and procurement professionals; 75% have procedures for post-award activity. |
Surveys are for both members and non-members. We love your data, and in exchange, everyone who completes a survey receives a complimentary copy of its metric report. CAPS members get extra love: breakout reports and custom survey opportunities. Email us to participate.

NEW! China: Reassessing the Middle Kingdom in Global Supply Management
Global supply management is experiencing turbulent times: tariffs and trade wars, IP issues, cyber warfare, and evolving technologies at a breakneck pace. China is often at the center of these pressing issues. This paper captures what it has been like for global companies working with Chinese companies and what it will be like moving forward given the current geopolitical climate. It is available for members in the CAPS Library now.
