International Executive Roundtables

A yearly face-to-face forum for CAPS Research major corporate sponsors.

The International Executive Roundtables provide a yearly face-to-face forum for CAPS Research major corporate sponsors. The Roundtables allow these executives to share their best practices, network with their peers, informally benchmark procurement programs, and prioritize our research agenda. The multi-day event is for CAPS Research corporate sponsors’ senior purchasing and supply executive, who come from Fortune 500 and international firms committed to furthering best practices in purchasing and supply chain management and maintaining their competitive edge.

Event participants

Asian Roundtable:

As the Asian region continues to prosper and more multi-national firms establish sourcing offices, supply partners, and operations there, it’s apparent that one of the best ways to succeed is by learning from each other. Navigating the labor pool, infrastructure concerns, and the unique Asian business culture are issues facing everyone. Approximately 40 representatives from global firms share experiences and best practices of operating and sourcing in Asia.

Best Practices Workshops

An annual event for second-level executives for CAPS Research major corporate sponsors.

The Best Practices Workshops, modeled on the International Executive Roundtables, are held annually. We invite the second-level executive — those that report to the Roundtable attendee, for the most part — to this two-and-a-half-day forum for best practices sharing and small-group focus sessions. Attendance is through invitation by CAPS Research or nomination by the CPO.

Critical Issues Partnership Events

Interactive networking and sharing sessions focused on a specific topic.

CAPS Research Critical Issues Partnership Events are interactive sessions that bring together practitioners from various companies who are all interested in networking and sharing experiences/best practices in a specific area. The program usually consists of four presentations, each followed by highly facilitated discussion; all attendees are encouraged and expected to provide input during the discussion portion. Approximately eight weeks after the event, CAPS Research publishes (online) a Critical Issues Report white paper, summarizing highlights and key themes and takeaways from the event. Events are typically open to donor company representatives; the published white paper is available for the public on the CAPS Research web site.
